First and foremost, I want to state that I believe reading the tarot for another person is an intimate and sacred exchange of energies and information that should be treated as such. Confidentiality is key and it’s a tenet to which I hold fast. You may be assured that no part of your reading will ever be used without your informed and explicit consent (i.e., as part of a written review of a reading).

This means that no photographs of your cards will be shared publicly or used in any other way except in the PDF provided to you via email, either. At Divinely Poetic Tarot, I like to operate in a more inviolate environment than you will find at a doctor’s or therapist’s office. Your secrets, your questions, I hold them safe within the lockbox of my heart.

As with all tarot readings and other divinations, please make sure to take what resonates with you, and leave the rest, or perhaps save it to read in the future when something might become more clear. Several clients have found additional value in their readings when explored again after the fact.

When I perform the tarot reading for you, I call in my spirit team including Aphrodite, and will call in yours as well, for support and guidance as I read the cards. If you work with a particular deity or spirit guide, please make sure to inform me via the Calendly booking page.

You agree to pay the listed price for the reading you desire, and I will provide you with a designed and written PDF as soon as possible after that date. In addition to doing readings, I have a full time job, so this can sometimes take a few days up to a week. Fear not, though, for once I have drawn and photographed your cards I keep them in the back of my mind for analysis and connections even when I am not writing up the reading!

If you have decided to choose a bespoke tarot reading that is not available on my Calendly menu of offerings, we will chat to discuss what exactly you want and are looking for with the reading, then I will work to price it out. Generally, custom readings will cost more, depending on the complexity and number of tarot and/or oracle cards involved.

When purchasing a candle spell and tarot card pull combo, you will receive several photographs of the candle and its melting pattern, a thorough write up of the tarot card as it relates to the candle spell you have chosen, and a short video of the flame. While that flame burns, I will scry into it and make any notations of what I see there. Because of the energy involved in working a candle spell, I am only able to do 1 of these in a 24 hour period.

I work from a wide library of decks that is almost always growing to some degree, and select from among the decks using the energy and spirit I pick up from your Calendly form. If there is a specific deck you would prefer that I use, please ask! A complete listing of my decks can be found here.

I try very hard not to sugarcoat the messages that come through the cards, and sometimes a reading can be as difficult to give as it is to receive, depending on the messages within. You are heartily encouraged to find ways to reframe a rough reading knowing that you always have choices within the tarot paradigm. There is nothing scary about tarot, and I am available to talk to about the cards you receive from Spirit and Aphrodite, if you feel any concern or worry. Remember, tarot does not tell the future. It can suggest possibilities, but mostly it’s about the full range of human experience we encounter on our own Fool’s Journeys.
